Ensuring that your dusk candle performs to its full potential is easy by following a few simple steps!
Trim the wick. Before lighting always trim the wick to 6mm and remove any wick debris. This encourages an even burn whilst helping to eliminate dripping, smoking and excessive "mushrooming". The wick trimmer trims the wick at the perfect angle and length.
Burn time. Always burn a pillar candle for 1 hour per 2.5cm of it's diameter. This allows a wax pool to develop, preventing craters and will minimise dripping and running and possible candle collapse. This will set the candle memory.
Avoid draughts. Candles burn best in still air but if you can't avoid draughts, turn the candle periodically to avoid uneven burning and possible candle collapse. A candle in a draught may also start to smoke.
